Lie-Liang Yang received his M.Eng and Ph.D degrees in communications and electronics from Northern (Beijing) Jiaotong University, Beijing, China in 1991 and 1997, respectively, and his B.Eng degree in communications engineering from Shanghai Tiedao University, Shanghai, China in 1988. Additionally, he received a Postgraduate Certificate in Education from University of Southampton, Southampton, UK in 2005.
Prof. Yang is a Fellow of the IEEE in the USA, and a Fellow of the IET (previously IEE) in the UK. He was a Distinguished Lecturer of the IEEE Vehicular Technology Society. He acted as TPC/symposium/area/track/workshop chairs for various conferences and was involved in the teams of Technical Programme Committees (TPC) of many conferences. He is a subject editor to the IET Electronics Letters, served as an associate editor to the IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology, Journal of Communications and Networks (JCN), Security and Communication Networks (SCN) Journal, etc., and he is currently an associate editor to the IEEE Access. He was one of the guest editors for the special issues in: IEEE Journal on Selected Areas in Communications (2013), IEEE Wireless Communication Magazine (2013), IEEE Communication Magazine (2014), IEEE Systems Journal (2015), EURASIP Journal on Wireless Communications and Networking (2011), China Communications.
Prof. Nan Yang received the B.S. degree in Electronics from China Agricultural University, China, in 2005, the M.S. degree in Electronic Engineering from Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT), China, in 2007, and the Ph.D. degree in Electronic Engineering from BIT, China, in 2011. Since July 2014, he has been with ANU College of Systems and Society at the Australian National University (ANU), Canberra, Australia, where he is currently a Professor and the Lead of the Information and Signal Processing Cluster in the School of Engineering (SoEN), the leader of the multi-scale communications research team, and the head of the Emerging Communications Laboratory. He was the College’s Associate Dean Higher Degree Research from 2019 to 2021.
Prof. Nan Yang is currently serving on the editorial board of the IEEE Transactions on Molecular, Biological, and Multi-Scale Communications, IEEE Communications Letters, Transactions on Emerging Telecommunications Technologies, and Frontiers in Communications and Networks, and was serving on the editorial board of the IEEE Transactions on Wireless Communications (2017-2021) and IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology (2016-2021). He has also served as the Guest Editor of ten special issues of several international prestigious journals. He has further served as a Symposium/Track Chair for IEEE flagship conferences such as IEEE International Conference on Communications (ICC) and IEEE Global Communications Conference (GlobeCOM), the Technical Program Committee (TPC) Chair for 2017 Australian Communications Theory Workshop (AusCTW), and co-organised tens of workshops at IEEE flagship conferences such as IEEE ICC, IEEE GlobeCOM, IEEE WCNC, IEEE VTC, and ACM MobiCOM.
